BCD Rhythms

BCD Rhythms (formally BaDi Dance Fitness with Barb) is an hour-long fitness class combining dance, kickboxing, and light strength training.

This class is a "Super Positive Power Hour" that is choreographed and structured yet there is plenty of room to jump, wiggle, kick, punch, yell, laugh and love every minute of your workout. BCD Rhythms is both rigorous, burning an average 600 calories per class and relaxing, ending the class with silent stretching.

How to Prepare:
  • Bring plenty of water and a dry towel if you sweat
  • Free hot towel service is available after class
  • BCD Rhythms is a barefoot practice. If you need to wear shoes for health reasons, please note only indoor shoes are allowed on the dance floor.
  • New students will need to complete a health waiver. Please arrive 10-15 minutes prior to class start time to complete in-studio.
Where do you dance?:

BCD Rhythms is taught exclusively at Dance Underground, a gem of a dance space that is home to many movement practitioners and their programs. Dance Underground (or D.U. as it is lovingly known in the community) has 3 dance studios and Studio A, where BCD is taught, boasts the largest, unobstructed, sprung hardwood dance floor in Seattle. The space is adorned with warm twinkle lights creating a peaceful and welcoming atmosphere.

Dance Underground is part of a Seattle that is slowly and sadly fading away. If you want to get your groove on in a real, old school dance space, D.U. may be the dance home for you!

How to Get Here:


D.U. is located in the heart of Capitol Hill's 15th Avenue neighborhood. Across the street from Key Bank, the studio entrance is nestled between Spice Waala restaurant and Bites of Bangkok restaurant/comedy club (the building is bright red - you can't miss it!). Free street parking available on 15th and around the neighborhood.
